When do I need a screen capture device?

You can easily record what your test participant is doing on his or her computer with a screen capture device. ThisSuch a device provideswill provide you with high quality images of the screen at which the test participant is looking.

Epiphan screen capture devices

The Epiphan screen capture devices are hardware devices with which you connect the monitor of the test computer that will stream the screen captures of the test computer to the computer with MediaRecorder. MediaRecorder supports Epiphan Pearl Nano.

     

  • Epiphan DVI2USB 3.0 – A USB 3 device.
  • Epiphan VGADVI broadcaster. A screen capture device that streams over Ethernet.

MR Screen Capture device

A software screen capture device that is present if your MediaRecorder license includes the MR Screen Capture Module.
